Mark Brown began his real estate career in 1982 as a commercial sales associate at Murphy Realty Better Homes and Gardens. Under the guidance of his mentor, Joseph J. Murphy, Brown launched Murphy Commercial in 1985 and established the Murphy Commercial Referral Network, holding the position of Vice President and Managing Director.
Brown later became President of Murphy Commercial. During that time he coordinated and managed the commercial needs of all 2000 sales associates in 50 offices throughout the tri state area.
The success of Murphy Commercial culminated with many job offers from the largest commercial real estate companies in New York and New Jersey.
After much consideration, Brown decided that rather than succumb to the regimented corporate structure of the larger global real estate companies, he would manage his own firm where he could have the power and flexibility to give more personal attention and service to his clients.
Since its inception in 1994, Brown Commercial Real Estate Services has represented over 100 million square feet and successfully negotiated over $500 million in real estate transactions.
